ABOUT
Humane Officers Rescue Livestock and Horses From Neglect
Humane Officers brought in a Brahma bull, a bull calf, two heifers and six horses from a ranch in Moorpark on 12/9/14. All animals are considered emaciated and are now in protective custody of the Humane Society of Ventura County. We are currently housing 5 other horses from three different cases that are now pending charges.
We will need the public’s support with funds for ongoing medical expenses and feeding. The shelter will be feeding over 6 bales of feed ($18 a bale) per day plus supplements. Not including medical, the care for these animals will run the shelter over $6,000 every month.
You can make a donation here on our at www.HSVC.org or you can drop off or mail in a donation to the Humane Society of Ventura County, 402 Bryant St, Ojai, CA 93023. Please make sure to specify Cows/Horses on your donation.
Please note these animals are not available for adoption at this time.
We thank you ahead of time of your support!
