The HSVC team has been hard at work this past year. Under the leadership of Executive Director Tim Blaylock, we partnered with strategic consultants to develop a long-term vision for expansion and growth that will increase our capacity to care for animals in our community. We’d like to share with our HSVC family that Tim concluded his time with us this past August. We thank him for his leadership and wish him every success in his future endeavors. Our Board of Directors has conducted a thorough search for our next Executive Director. We are excited to share that this process is complete, and we look forward to introducing our new leader to you in early October once he officially begins his role with HSVC.

In addition, we are pleased to announce two new additions to our Board of Directors, Steve Miller and Katrina Carl. Both have long-standing ties to Ventura County, a passion for animal welfare, and a commitment to serving their community.

"I grew up in Ventura County and am grateful for the opportunity to give back to an organization that has served this community for 93 years with dedication to the care and welfare of animals. It’s inspiring to be part of an organization that is not only doing great work today but also planning for expanded services in the future," said Carl.
