HSVC Pet Food Bank: Help Us Help Those in Need

A big thank you goes out to Meko and Lilly from the Navy Chiefs at Center for Seabees and Facility Engineering for their generous pet food donation to the HSVC. The pair, along with their dogs Gizmo and Chance, donated approximately 50 cans of wet dog food, 15 large bags of dry dog food, milk bone treats, and more! Thanks to our amazing community, we will be able to continue providing pet food to those in need through our Pet Food Bank during the growing COVID-19 pandemic.

We are still accepting donations for our Pet Food Bank to help those in need during this difficult time. All pet food donations must be UNOPENED. Donations will be accepted in person at the shelter or through our Amazon Wishlist.

For more information about our Pet Food Bank services, please visit our website. You can also call the shelter at 805-646-6505 or email us at [email protected] to speak with a member of our staff.

The HSVC is now closed to the public until further notice as a result of COVID-19. We encourage the community to adhere to the current "Stay Well at Home" order and practice social distancing during this time. The shelter will remain staffed from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Saturday to assist with any emergency needs such as reclaim of lost pets, bringing in stray animals, etc. We will not be performing adoption or fostering services at this time.

Thank you and stay safe everyone!
