HSVC COVID-19 Update

It may be a new year, but the challenges of 2020 have followed us into 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic rages on and the number of cases in our county continues to rise. As a result, the Humane Society of Ventura County remains closed for public walkthroughs to visit the animals and access to all buildings.

We are still performing adoptions by appointment only. To view all of our available animals, please visit our website. To make an appointment to meet an animal, visit our website and click the orange "Let's Get' Started" button to fill out an adoption appointment request. You can specify which animal you are interested in on the form. Once submitted, our adoption counselors will contact you with the next steps in the adoption process.

Our spay/neuter clinic is still performing spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and microchipping services by appointment only. Please call the shelter at 805-646-6505 to make an appointment for any of these services. Our next low-cost shot clinic will be held on Thursday, February 18th. To make an appointment for this date or for a future low-cost shot clinic, please call the shelter at 805-646-6505.

The HSVC is still accepting in-kind donations, including blankets, toys, and unopened bags and cans of pet food, in person at the shelter located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai. Visitors are required to wear a mask and practice social distancing when dropping off donations at the shelter. You will be turned away if you are not following public safety protocols as requested by the staff. To make an online donation, please visit our donation page. To make a donation via our Amazon Wishlist, click here.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the shelter at 805-646-6505. Thank you for your patience during this time!
