HSVC Cares' First Remote Vaccine Clinic was a Success!

Our first-ever HSVC Cares remote vaccination clinic was a huge success! Thank you to our shelter staff, volunteers, and all who attended this event to make it successful. We also want to give a shoutout to our friends at Ohana Pet Hospital for allowing us to host the event in their parking lot and to Petco Love for supplying the free vaccines!

Hundreds of pet owners and their furry friends attended our free vaccine clinic in Santa Paula this past Sunday. We were thrilled with the turnout!

Our Clinic staff administered free Distemper/Parvo vaccines to dogs and free Upper Respiratory vaccines to cats from 1 - 4 pm. They also offered $5 Rabies vaccines to those interested.

Dr. Christina Sisk (above) and her staff also scheduled free spay/neuter appointments for those interested as they waited in line. If you are in need of this service, please call the shelter at 805-646-6505.

Dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes attended our free vaccine clinic. Our staff and volunteers had so much fun interacting with the public and their animals!

Above: Volunteer students from Ventura College's RVT program also attended the event. Many of the students acted as translators for our Spanish speaking attendees and even got to participate in administering vaccines under the supervision of our HSVC Clinic staff.

If you missed last weekend's event, there are still two more chances to get free vaccines for your pets! HSVC Cares will be hosting another free remote vaccine clinic on Saturday, March 26th, from 12 - 4 pm at Westpark Community Center (450 Harrison Ave, Ventura, CA 93001). Free Distemper/Parvo vaccines for dogs and free Upper Respiratory vaccines for cats will be offered in addition to $5 Rabies vaccines.

We will also be hosting a free vaccine clinic at the shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, on March 31st from 12 - 3 pm. Walk-ins welcome! In addition to Distemper/Parvo and Upper Respiratory vaccines, this clinic will also offer $5 Rabies vaccines, $15 Bordetella vaccines, and $25 microchipping.

Please call the shelter at 805-646-6505 with any questions.
