Fall Feels for Hazel

Looks like Julie and Diego have truly fallen (pun intended) for Hazel! The adorable Border Collie mix was adopted by the pair just over three months ago and they have been having so much fun with her!

Formerly Tipie, 11-month-old Hazel came to the HSVC as an owner surrender in early June after her previous owner could no longer care for her. She was extremely shy and nervous when she first arrived. Julie met Hazel at the shelter and visited her every day for over a week to gain the sweet pup's trust. According to Julie, it took some time for Hazel to adjust to her new home. However, she is growing more comfortable with each day that passes.

"Hazel has made a lot of progress overcoming her anxiety and gaining confidence when it comes to trying new things. She still has work to do, but it is moving in the right direction!" said Julie.

The trio even recently visited a pumpkin patch together to take some adorable family photos, and we can't handle the cuteness! Thank you, Julie and Diego, for opening your hearts to Hazel and giving her the life she deserves.
