It was nothing but smiles at this weekend's joint HSVC Cares vaccine clinic and adoption event! With free vaccines, delicious smash burgers, and adoptable dogs, there was no shortage of excitement on Sunday. Thank you to our friends at Happy Place Craft Beer, Wine & Spirits for hosting us for not one, but two events to help animals in need!

The day's events kicked off with an HSVC Cares free vaccine clinic from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pet owners braved the chilly morning fog to get free DHPP (distemper/parvo vaccines for their dogs and free FVRCP (upper respiratory) for cats. Pets were also offered free Rabies vaccinations, though many donated additional funds in support of our mission. 

Like clockwork, the sun came out just in time for the arrival of our adoptable shelter pups! West, Winston, Knight, Manny, and Wilson all made the journey from Ojai to East Ventura to meet potential adopters. Though no one found their forever home on Sunday, each pup left the event feeling refreshed after getting a break from shelter life. They even got to indulge in a special doggie burger from Happy Place Eatery and barkuterie boards from Cafe Zoomies!
