Happy National Dog Day!

NATIONAL_DOG_DAY.jpg

Here at the Humane Society of Ventura County, we can't think of a better way to celebrate National Dog Day than supporting your local shelter. Every day countless dogs will find themselves in shelters through no fault of their own.

Many will have been abandoned by irresponsible owners when they need them the most, while others may have been rescued from a life of abuse or neglect. Perhaps their owner passed away, or they were born in the streets never knowing the comforts of a loving home. Stories like these are all too common. Fortunately, there are shelters like the Humane Society of Ventura County that provide a safe haven for all animals while they wait to start new lives with a caring family.

With your support, we can continue to give the physical and emotional support necessary to get these innocent animals into loving homes, often for the first time in their lives. Your donations provide food, medical attention, and many other necessities while they wait for the most special gift of all.

$5 will feed a puppy for 5 days

$25 will purchase the first set of shots for a dog

$50 will pay to groom three dogs

$75 will spay or neuter a large dog

$250 will pay for gas, electricity, and water for two days

$500 helps Humane Officers investigate cases of cruelty

By donating to the HSVC, you'll be part of a community of people who are making a positive impact on the lives of animals in need in Ventura County.

Thank you from all your friends at the Humane Society of Ventura County ❤️
