Fun at the Shelter

Fun at the Shelter is a monthly program HSVC developed as an alternative to pet therapy visits. We invite a group of clients from care facilities to our shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, for an afternoon of animal fun. Each outing includes snacks, games with prizes (Bingo, etc.), and a visit from a surprise animal guest. Past guests have included Lucy Grace and her trick Shelties Harry and Archie; Amber Landis with her sweet chihuahua Simba and bunny Papaya; Kacey Conaway and her cute Corgi Tetley; and Christina Mallek presenting one of our adoptable horses.

If you or your organization is interested in partaking in our Fun at the Shelter program, please fill out the interest form on this page. Once completed, HSVC's Programs Director, Arlene MacSween, or Administrative Assistant Judy Robertson will reach out with the next steps. You may also reach out to them directly by calling the shelter at 805-646-6505 or emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
