Thank you, Frank Salguero, for 32 Years of Service!

At the Humane Society of Ventura County, we are lucky to have dedicated and compassionate staff and volunteers and our longest-term team member has been both! Frank Salguero, a native of Ojai, began working for us in April of 1990 and after his retirement chose to volunteer with us 2-5 days a week. He has become a beloved member of the HSVC family over the years and we are truly grateful for his dedication. Thank you, Frank, for your 32 years of service to Ventura County’s homeless animals!

If you frequent our facility, you have surely seen Frank caring for our 4.4 acres, helping sort through peoples’ generous donations, and keeping our shelter looking beautiful! "Frankie is part of the family. We love having him here at the shelter. He is always happy to help and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty!" said Shelter Director Jolene Hoffman.

Our shelter was started by a group of volunteers and continues to run smoothly because of dedicated volunteers like Frank. "Frank helps me do everything. He does dishes, sweeps, and even scoops horse corrals. I appreciate him so much!" said Kennel Manager Angela Hanline.

From all of us at the HSVC, thank you Frank for your compassion and dedication to helping animals in need!
