Four Cats, One Second Chance: Help Us Find Their Forever Homes
The recent Eaton Fire in Los Angeles County left many people and animals in need of urgent help. In response, the Pasadena Humane Society quickly stepped in to support their community by providing shelter for the displaced pets forced to evacuate from the fire. As part of their efforts to make room for evacuated pets, four special feline residents were transferred to our shelter, where they’re now ready to find their forever homes. You can read more about their journey to HSVC here.

Meet the Cats
Each of our new residents has a unique personality, but they all share one thing in common: resilience. Their journey through the chaos of the Eaton Fire has only made them more eager to find a loving home. See below to learn a bit more about these furry friends:
- Houdini: This charming 7-year-old has a special talent! Thanks to her large size, Houdini quickly learned how to open doors to get more attention from the people around her. Hence why she was dubbed Houdini by our animal care staff! She has her moments of independence but loves the occasional chin and neck scratch. Once she warms up to you, Houdini will grace you by letting you pick her up and hold her.
- Seana: As another senior kitty, Seana prefers to come to you on her own terms. However, she will purr when she gets the affection and scratches she desires. This pretty girl is a social eater and likes to eat while there are others around. She would make a great dinner date!
- Zinnia: Gorgeous Zinnia is a very sweet, playful girlie who enjoys periodic chin scratches. She loves affection, but the 3-year-old tabby is not afraid to gently let you know when she's ready to take her nap. Zinnia is so smart that she can recognize her people and will meow at them to show her approval.
- Simone: The smallest of the bunch, Simone is a shy but precious girl. Her affectionate side comes out when she's comfortable with you, and if you're lucky, she will even lie in your lap. Simone enjoys playing with wand toys, napping in quiet spaces, and her favorite food is seafood.
Adopting one of these resilient felines represents more than just giving a cat a second chance. It also means helping clear space in our shelter to make room for other animals in need. You can provide a homeless animal with the safety and love they deserve while also supporting our shelter's incredible work for animals in crisis. Whether you’re looking for a cuddly companion or a playful pet, one of these four could be your perfect match.
If you’re interested in adopting one of these amazing cats, visit our shelter located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai or check our adoption page for more information on the adoption process. Our team is happy to help you find the cat that’s the best fit for your family. You could be the start of a beautiful new chapter for them. We can’t wait to introduce you to your new best friend!
