Piggy Smalls Finds Paradise at Rancho Grande!

Piggy Smalls is living large in his new home! The lucky swine was adopted by Linda and Richard, owners of Rancho Grande Ojai, and he's already right at home on their gorgeous 200-acre property. In addition to a 900-pound pig named Huel, Piggy has a plethora of new animal friends to play with at the ranch. Thank you to Inland Valley Humane Society for transferring this sweet boy to us, and thank you to Linda, Richard, and the rest of the Rancho Grande family for giving Piggy Smalls the best home!

Rancho Grande is a family-owned and operated ranch in Rose Valley, a picturesque area in the mountains of upper Ojai, CA. The ranch is an animal sanctuary home to an eclectic family of alpacas, goats, lambs, chickens, horses, cows, parrots, pigs, dogs, cats, and many other animals. Rancho's property is also home to a friendly camel named Albert, who has become a social media sensation with his affinity for letting himself into Linda and Richard's home. Many of the animals on the property were rescued from people and places that could no longer care for them. Now, they all live in peace with the forest they share, the surrounding communities, and the abundant natural wildlife that also call Rancho Grande their home.

Our staff's primary mission was to settle Piggy Smalls into his new home, but of course, they had to meet some of the ranch residents! They got to meet Albert, who is just as friendly, social, and soft as he appears online (above, left), and Piggy's new neighbor, a 900-pound pig named Huel (above, right). From newborn quails and baby goats to mini horses and guinea pigs, it was clear that each animal at the ranch was truly living their best life!
