HSVC Cares Brings Pet Wellness Services to El Rio

HSVC Cares once again brought together happy pet owners and wagging tails with a successful free pet vaccine clinic on Saturday, August 2nd. This time, our team set up at Bethany Chapel Assembly of God in El Rio to provide essential veterinary services at little or no cost to the community. Throughout the day, our committed veterinary team and volunteers offered critical services, including free DHPP vaccines for dogs, FVRCP vaccines for cats, $10 microchips, and rabies vaccines. The team provided 164 vaccinations and 28 microchips to pets. These efforts help prevent the spread of common but serious diseases, support public health, and enhance pets' chances for a healthy life. Way to go, HSVC Cares team!

The team also performed 18 spay/neuter surgeries onsite in our mobile Pet Wellness Clinic, highlighting outreach efforts and increasing trust across Ventura County. The turnout of pet owners and their animals was strong, and the impact was clear. Families lined up early, many expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity to access affordable care for their beloved companions. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure that each animal received gentle, professional treatment, from first-time puppy vaccines to microchipping senior cats.

Events like this demonstrate the growing need for mobile, low-cost veterinary services throughout Ventura County. HSVC Cares is committed to meeting that need by continuing to bring pet wellness services directly into the communities that need it most. A special thank you to Bethany Chapel Assembly of God for hosting us and to every staff member and volunteer who helped make this day possible. Your commitment to animal welfare is what makes HSVC Cares thrive. Most importantly, thank you to the pet owners of El Rio who trusted us to care for their four-legged family members; we are honored to serve you. Thanks to the generosity of attendees, we also received donations that go directly toward supporting our programs and helping us expand this work into more underserved neighborhoods.
