Belgian Malinois are most commonly known for their skills used in police work and search and rescue missions. They excel at tasks that include the detection of odors such as explosives, narcotics, and tracking of humans. In fact it is Belgian Malinois who the Secret Service use to keep guard at the White House! Matteo was a candidate for the Search Dog Foundation but did not pass all the necessary tests.
