Calling all senior cat lovers! Beautiful Sophia, a 14-year-old, domestic shorthair, was surrendered to the Humane Society of Ventura County this past April when her previous owner could no longer care for her.

Cookie is as sweet as her name implies! This 4-year-old black and white spayed female came to the shelter through no fault of her own and has settled into the cat room with ease.

Have you ever heard of a Treeing Walker Coonhound? This unique breed is a descendant of the English Foxhound and you can see many similarities between the two in their color and disposition. Hoss, who we believe to be a Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, is as energetic as he is handsome.

Rue is looking forward to meeting his new family! Rue is a nine-year-old spayed Chihuahua mix who has been at the Humane Society of Ventura County since the beginning of July. Rue has a sweet little face, and she’s optimistic about her second chance to find a forever family.

Chloe is a one-year-old spayed tan Chihuahua shorthair. She came to the Humane Society in April as an owner surrender because her owner could no longer keep her.

Sweet Mia is a five-year-old spayed Cairn Terrier mix with a big heart. Mia was surrendered to our Humane Officers several months ago when it was determined that she needed a new home. Mia is a sweetheart who just wants to be loved.

With a wagging tail and a smile, Peyton is ready to be your best friend. Peyton is a 10-month-old spayed Chihuahua mix who came to the Humane Society from our rescue partners. Peyton is a happy and high energy puppy who enjoys having a friend to play around with. Peyton has made many friends while at the shelter and will always greet everyone with a grin and wagging tail. Peyton is a quick learner and loves to be in your lap and getting pets.

Scout is a two-year-old, spayed, gray and silver Dandie Dinmont mix who weighs approximately 20.5 lbs. Scout was signed over to the Humane Society by her previous owner in order to find a home that could fit her needs.

Chloe is a very charming little Chihuahua, who loves hanging out with people. This sweet girl is just one year old and was surrendered to the Humane Society last month when her owner could no longer keep her.
