A Recipe for Happy Tails: Dumpling Finds Her Family

We're serving up a dumpling-sized portion of love with this success story! Five-month-old Lulu, formerly Dumpling, is living the sweet life in her new home. The adorable mixed-breed pup was adopted by Marilyn and Sam in mid-November 2024 after being brought to the shelter as a stray. Lulu arrived at HSVC with her brother, Meatball, who has also been happily adopted. The precious pair were even reunited outside of the shelter months after finding their forever homes. We couldn't be happier for these pint-sized HSVC alums!

According to Marilyn, Lulu quickly learned the lay of the land in their home and had no trouble capturing the heart of her new sibling, Bella. "She is one of the smartest, loving, adorable dogs we've ever owned. She loves everyone that comes to our home. I taught her to sit and wait for her food until I say "okay'. That took about three times, and now she comes when I call her and gives kisses when I ask her. She and my dog Bella love each other so much!" said Marilyn.

Lulu's brother, Meatball, was adopted into a loving home by Gary and his family. They coordinated a play date with Lulu's parents, and, as you can see from the photos, the siblings had a ball playing together outside the shelter!

Thank you Sam, Marilyn, and Gary, for giving these pups the lives they deserve!
