The Humane Society of Ventura County is in need of lumber to build shelves. In preparation for fire season, the HSVC has been organizing supplies inside their storage sheds.
In the event of an emergency, the staff needs easy access to crates, supplies, feed and equipment. Any 2x4’s longer than 4 feet in good condition and ¾ inch plywood also in good condition are needed. If you have lumber and are willing to donate, please bring it to the Shelter at 406 Bryant Street in Ojai. “The community has been very supportive in donating supplies in response to the Thomas Fire, and shelves will help us be better organized in the event of another emergency,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach.
