Dee Dee's Dog Spot Joins the HSVC in Helping Provide Pet Food to Families in Need
The Humane Society of Ventura County recently installed a Dog Food Bank Dispenser at Dee Dee’s Dog spot pet groomer in Ventura. The dispenser is an extension of the HSVC Pet Food Bank program which provides free dog food to those in need on a first come, first serve basis. For two years Dee Dee’s has partnered with the HSVC in providing free food but now the dispenser will increase Dee Dee’s capacity to serve those in need.
“We are excited to partner with Dee Dee’s in support of our mission to provide services for all animals throughout Ventura County,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach for the HSVC. “There is a tremendous need in providing dog food for pet guardians who are having a challenging time feeding their pets and these remote locations allow them to receive food where they need it,” continued Cooper.
Dee Dee’s Dog Spot is located at 955 E Front St, Ventura, CA 93001 and is open seven days a week.
The HSVC needs your help in keeping our pantry and remote locations stocked. The Pet Food Bank program is entirely supported by community donations.
For those who are interested in supporting the HSVC Pet Food Bank, please drop off un-opened bags of dry dog or cat food to the Shelter, 402 Bryant Street. The HSVC Amazon Wishlist has been updated to include examples of requested food.
Contact Greg Cooper for questions or ideas to support the program. [email protected] 805-646-6505 x 112. Thank you for your support.
