Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Humane Society of Ventura County has offered critical services to the public. Our dedicated staff has been on-site caring for the animals and answering your questions. Though we have not been able to accommodate the public as many of you are accustomed to, your safety and wellbeing has driven many of our decisions. Due to the State of California's Stay At Home Order and safety concerns for visitors and staff of the Shelter, we are currently NOT OPEN for public walkthroughs. 

We want to assure the community that despite being closed to the public, each animal is still receiving all the attention, love, and exercise they need. Our staff is working diligently to make sure every animal's needs are met. For the most up-to-date information or questions about any of our services, please call our front desk at 805-646-6505. Our current hours are Monday - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
