COVID-19 Update
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Humane Society of Ventura County has offered critical services to the public. Our dedicated staff have been on-site caring for the animals and answering your questions. Even though we have not been able to accommodate the public as many of you are accustomed, your safety and wellbeing have driven many of our decisions.
To that end, we are offering most of our services by appointment at this time which includes animal intake and adoptions. Our low-cost Spay & Neuter clinic will be open for a limited number of appointments. Our Humane Officers remain available to investigate cases of animal abuse, cruelty, and neglect.
Those interested in adopting an animal under our care can fill out an adoption appointment request form via our website hsvc.org/adopt. We can arrange for a meet-and-greet facilitated by one of our staff. All visitors will be screened however and we ask that you wear a mask and maintain social distancing and other safety protocols.
Our services may change due to the shifting dynamics of the pandemic. We pledge to keep the public updated to such changes and to take every precaution necessary to keep our community, our animals, and our staff safe.
Our hours are Monday – Saturday, 10 am – 5 pm. We can be reached at 805-646-6505.
