Join us for a FREE community birthday event on Sunday, June 9th from 11 am - 2 pm. 

The HSVC celebrates its birthday in June every year with a free community event. This year, we wanted our festivities to include our shelter animals. Like many rescue pets, we don't know the birthdays of most of the furry friends under our care. That doesn't mean our shelter animals don't deserve to feel special on their big day! With this in mind, we've decided to declare Sunday, June 9th, the official birthday of all the animals at the shelter! 

Join us at the shelter for a special birthday celebration including shelter tours, birthday cupcakes from Sugar Lab Bake Shop, and ice cream from Mr. Softee from 1 - 2 pm! We will have free henna tattoos, arts and crafts, kids activities, and more. Local painter extraordinaire Renn Bird will be onsite taking orders for one-of-a-kind pet portraits of your furry friends.

Our friends from 100.7 KHAY will be onsite from 11 am - 1 pm live broadcasting and offering the chance to win furrtastic prizes! You don't want to miss out on the fun!
