COVID-19 Update
To clear up any confusion regarding the status of the Humane Society of Ventura County: We are closed to the public for casual visits, but we are anything but “Closed.”
Throughout this pandemic, our Humane Officers have continued to respond to calls of animal abuse and neglect. Our Adoption Counselors have continued to answer the phones. Our Kennel Staff have continued to feed and socialize the scores of animals under our care. Our Clinic Staff has kept a close eye on our animals’ medical needs and continue performing alteration surgeries for the public.
Almost all of our services are available by appointment only including adoptions, low-cost animal vaccinations, and spay/neuter surgeries.
