Don't miss out on the Humane Society of Ventura County's second annual Clear the Shelters adoption event! This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Clear The Shelters adoption movement. To celebrate this milestone, Greater Good Charities, NBCUniversal Local, a division of NBCUniversal, and Hill’s Pet Nutrition are partnering with shelters and rescues across the country to promote a month-long event from August 10th to September 10th. HSVC will be offering $50 adoptions during this time for all dogs and cats.

Don't forget to join us at the shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, on Saturday, August 31st, from 10 am - 4 pm for a day of fee-waived adoptions! That's right, you could take home a furry family member for FREE!

Clear The Shelters is a national campaign that encourages people to adopt from their local shelters in an effort to “clear the shelters.” The campaign receives national and local coverage on NBC and each year over 100,000 animals are adopted from shelters and rescues that participate in the initiative. Please visit our Adopt page to review HSVC's adoption requirements prior to arriving at the shelter. All potential adopters must participate in the full adoption process to ensure each pet finds the best-suited home. This promotion does not guarantee the adoption of an HSVC shelter animal. All dogs requiring additional meet and greets can be scheduled for a later date with the fee-waived price honored.
