We are so happy for our dear Frank who went home on Saturday after being at the shelter for 14 months! Frank first arrived at the shelter on April 8th of 2015 when he was only 1.5 years old. Frank moved into the adult cat room where he settled in nicely to wait for his forever home.  

When the Barton's attended Saturday's Open House they had no idea they would be going home with not one, but two new family members! 

Congratulations to our beautiful Sequoia (left) who was adopted yesterday! Sequoia was brought in as a stray last month and was sadly never claimed. Though very sweet she was very unsure about her new surroundings as most animals are when they first arrive at a shelter.

Harold was originally brought to the shelter by Humane Officer Vail with 3 other dogs, including two Belgian Malinois our supporters may remember, last December. Though an absolute love Harold had never been taught any manners. A trainer was brought in and Harold was a very quick learner! 

We are so happy for sweet Mona who joined the King family last week! Antwon, Kendra, Aaliyah, & Alaina first met Mona at last weeks 805 Save Lives Adoption Event at Ventura Harbor. 

Last Saturday we cheered as Jack (previously Capone) left in the arms of his new family. Jack was originally brought to the HSVC by our Humane Officers alongside three other dogs in the middle of August.

We have wonderful news! Long time senior resident and shelter sweetheart Fred has found a home after being at the shelter since July 1st of last year! Fred was left tied up with another dog, Ethel, at the storage facility next door-both clearly abandoned and severely overweight.

Little Lucky has found his forever home! This young pup had a rough beginning but has been given a second chance by a loving family. 

Little Tinkerbell was surrendered to the shelter by her previous owner on February 24th. She was very frightened upon arrival and our staff made it a priority to make her as comfortable as possible and help her settle in.

We have good news! Matteo, a Belgian Malinois who was rescued in the field mid-December, was adopted last Thursday!
