Hit the Mark with Bullseye: Foster This Sweet Boxer Pup

We’re putting out an urgent call for a very special kind of hero, a patient foster parent who can help a young pup named Bullseye find her footing again. Bullseye is a 5-month-old Boxer mix who came to us as a stray through the Santa Paula Police Department. Since arriving, she’s captured our hearts with her sweet, curious spirit. Now, she needs a safe and quiet place to heal. Bullseye is currently recovering from a broken paw that left four of her toes fractured. She’s looking for a quiet, cozy place to recover and avoid further injury while she heals!

In addition to her injury, staff believe Bullseye may be deaf or hard of hearing. However, don’t let her setbacks fool you! The young pup is already picking up on visual cues and is eager to learn from those around her. She's smart, determined, and full of love despite the rough start she’s had. Bullseye is potty trained, working on crate training, and has been around small dogs. Like many puppies, she struggles when left alone and needs a patient foster who can help her feel confident and secure in her environment.
This special girl would thrive in a home where someone can be around often and provide the consistency and affection she craves. We’re looking for a foster home located in Ventura County, CA, as Bullseye will need to be transported to the shelter in Ojai for occasional medical checkups during her recovery. A calm, safe home and a patient, nurturing human could make all the difference in her healing journey.
If you think you can open your heart and home to Bullseye as she recovers, please contact our Foster Coordinator, Cheney, at [email protected], or visit our website to submit a foster inquiry. Bullseye is ready to give someone her whole heart; she just needs a safe place to land!
