We are thrilled to partner with our friends at Bodhi Salt Yoga for our first-ever kitten yoga and adoption event! Join us on Sunday, September 22nd from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm for a day of kitten fun supporting the HSVC!

This time of the year is referred to as "kitten season", meaning more mama cats go into heat due to the warmer temperatures. Like many shelters, the HSVC is flooded with fur babies during kitten season. We are hoping to find many of these adorable young cats the loving homes they deserve at our event!

Event Schedule:

9:00 am - 11:00 am: Kitten meet and greets and supervised kitten interactions. We will have an area set up in the smaller studio room for potential adopters to interact with the kittens. A staff member will be at the event to perform onsite adoptions. Kittens will be available for a $60 adoption fee each (regularly $150). Please note that kittens can not go to their forever homes until AFTER the kitten yoga class. However, you can pre-adopt a kitten before the class to ensure you go home with the kitty of your dreams!

11:15 am - 12:15 pm: Begin kitten yoga class instructed by Whitney Carver. This will be a 60-minute donation-based class and all proceeds will benefit the animals of the Humane Society of Ventura County. There will be kittens free roaming the space during class to provide an unforgettable and adorable yoga experience. Space will be limited to 24 people in this class to provide our furry friends more room to explore. Click the button below or download their mobile app to reserve your spot.

12:15 pm - 1:00 pm: Kitten yoga class concludes. Pre-adopted kittens can be picked up and taken home by their new pawrents. Any additional kittens still available for adoption will remain at the studio until 1:00 pm before returning to the shelter in Ojai.
