Kirby Subaru - As long-term supporters of the HSVC, Kirby has always gone above and beyond to help spread our shelter's mission. In addition to donations, Kirby has also become one of our most successful DoorDash host locations assisting us in providing free pet food to pet owners in need. We are so grateful to have them as part of our HSVC team!

National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (SDF)SDF is a nonprofit dedicated to strengthening disaster response in America by recruiting shelter dogs and training them to find people buried alive in the wreckage of disasters. They pair their pups with firefighters and other first responders and offer ongoing training at no cost to emergency organizations.

Over the years, the HSVC has had two of our dogs successfully graduate from SDF's rigorous training program. Both Moxie and Harley had successful careers as search dogs with their partners before crossing the rainbow bridge. Our shelter continuously works with SDF in hopes of finding more successful recruits for their program.

With their headquarters right here in Ojai, this fantastic nonprofit is near and dear to our hearts. Plus, their Associate Director and Veterinarian Dr. James Liu adopted from us! He recently took home Aria, mama of five adorable border collie puppies who was very loved by the staff.

Ojai Library - The Ojai Library is part of the Ventura County Library, an organization aiming to inspire the community to explore, discover, and connect.
