Birdie, formerly Benny, was adopted from the shelter in May of this year. His new mom, Fran, says she knew immediately that he would make a great friend upon meeting him in our cat room. His friendly personality has blossomed even more since becoming a part of Fran's family.

Fran was first drawn to Birdie's gorgeous green eyes and calm personality. According to Fran, it took the 1-year-old tabby some time to adjust to his new surroundings, but he is now happier than ever. "It did take him a little while to feel comfortable with his belly being touched but now he is ok with it and shows it off often. He enjoys hanging out in the window feeling the breeze and talking to the birds," said Fran.
