Pet of the Week - Bandito

This purrfect 11-month-old kitty first came to the HSVC after spending time in foster care with his siblings. He's an FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) survivor who has completed treatment and is doing well in the observation period. However, he does have the potential to relapse and will require consistent monitoring to maintain his health.

Our boy Bandito was residing in a loving foster home and recently returned to the shelter to find a more serious commitment. You can help us find him the forever home he deserves! His hobbies include playing fetch with his favorite squirrel toy, being pampered, and enjoying some "me time" in a high place like his cat tree. According to his former foster dad, Chris, Bandito loves to sleep cuddled up next to you and even gets along with small dogs. He's a very curious kitty who loves to explore open drawers and will use any small household item as a toy. But don't worry, he's very respectful of furniture and only scratches what he is supposed to.
Bandito is a charming and inquisitive fellow who tends to be a bit reserved when first encountering new people or situations. He appreciates a patient and gentle approach and may require some time to acclimate to his surroundings. Once he feels comfortable and secure, Bandito shows his affection by snuggling close to you, and before you know it, he'll be the most loyal and affectionate companion you could ask for.
If you are interested in giving sweet Bandito a chance, you can visit him at the shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai. Visiting hours are Monday - Saturday between 10 am and 4:30 pm.
