Animal Adventure Camp at Home is in Full Swing at the HSVC!

Animal Adventure Camp at Home is in full swing at the Humane Society of Ventura County! Campers are tuning in virtually for crafts, games, cooking, animal presentations, and more!

Each week features different activities for campers to participate in through various online video conferencing platforms. Every day in the week-long program is themed, adding to the fun. Humane Educator Angie Sagliani is shown above doing a "solar oven" craft with the campers on a superhero-themed day.

Campers can opt to receive a “Camp in a Box”, which contains all the supplies for that week’s camp activities. Every item in the box is used, even the pizza box itself! Ventura County’s own Pizza Man Dan’s generously donated 60 pizza boxes for our campers. Thank you Pizza Man Dan!

Despite COVID-19, Angie has created a memorable and fun camp experience for each participant. With the help of the HSVC staff, campers get to virtually tour the shelter and learn about the animals under our care. Week one featured a live presentation with our horses by HSVC Equine Expert Christina and Humane Officer King. Campers were also treated to a live Q and A session with HSVC’s professional dog trainer Tracy.

Week two is now in session with a new group of campers and activities. Spots are still open for weeks three and four, plus it’s free! Those interested in joining in on the fun can sign up via Eventbrite by clicking one of the following links:

Week 3: July 6 - July 10

Week 4: July 13 - July 17

Please email Angie Sagliani at [email protected] or call for more information at 805-646-6505. We look forward to seeing all our campers at our Animals Adventure Camp at Home Edition!
