Amber Landis

Amber Landis joined the HSVC team in November of 2022 as the Director of Development and is excited to help steward and grow philanthropy for the shelter. Amber is a Ventura local, and after graduating from Buena High, she attended Ventura College. She then transferred to the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating from UCSB, she started her nonprofit career as a Development Assistant at the Museum of Ventura County. She has now been in the nonprofit sector for 20 years and has worked with a variety of nonprofit organizations in Ventura County: Rubicon Theatre, Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County, to just name a few. In 2015, she completed her MA at California State University Northridge. Amber loves calling Ventura County home and is delighted to be part of the nonprofit sector. Amber served on the local Association of Fundraising Professionals Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties (AFP SBV) chapter board for 8 years and is a current AFP SBV member.  When Amber is not working, her two children, dog Simba and two cats, Zelda and Socks, keep her busy and on the go!
