A Loving Home For Sequoia

Five bucks can make all the difference for an animal in need. Before you start your weekend, won't you please consider making a small donation to help Sequoia find a loving home?

Sequoia was brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County on April 30, 2016 as a stray after being found wandering a nearby highway. She waited at the shelter for her previous owner to claim her, but as it often happens, no one came for this sweet girl. Fortunately, now that the stray period has passed, Sequoia will have a second chance at a new life.

We are hoping to find this beautiful girl a loving home to help her recover from the heartbreak of abandonment. This 4 year old brindle Shepherd and Great Dane mix has already come a long way in just a few short weeks. She has gone from a frightened dog unsure of her surroundings to a loving friend to our staff and volunteers. Though we have no background information on her we can share what we have observed since her arrival. Sequoia knows her basic manners, such as sit, and walks well on a leash. She is very gentle and will try to make her way into your lap whenever the chance arises. Sequoia is playful and loves a good game of chase, except she prefers to be the one being chased! She is most likely housebroken and needs an active home possibly with older children-another canine friend would be an extra benefit for this loving girl!

Every day countless animals are abandoned at shelters or found as strays roaming the streets. Many may have been cared for at one time and now find themselves homeless through no fault of their own. These dogs, like Sequoia, deserve a chance for a new life. Won't you please consider making a small donation and help abandoned animals get the care they need while they wait for their forever homes?
