ABOUT
Pet of the Week - Max
A handsome Anatolian Shepherd, Max was originally adopted from the HSVC as a 7-month-old puppy in 2017. He was recently returned to the shelter after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Max may be a larger dog, but don't let his size fool you! This gentle giant loves back scratches and belly rubs more than anything! Sometimes he will even use his body weight to press up against you just so he can be closer to the cuddles. He is so sweet!
Max gets along well with most other dogs, especially ones similar to his size. We are not sure how he does with cats. He walks well on a leash, loves to play outside, and knows his basic commands (sit, place, etc.). Due to his size, we are recommending Max go to a home with no children. If you are interested in adopting sweet Max, visit our website and click the orange "Let's Get Started" button to fill out an adoption appointment request and meet him!
Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows), a rabies vaccine (if age allows), wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip with registration, spay or neuter surgery, if necessary, as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.
