❤️It's Our Birthday! 🎂

By Franki Williams

It’s our Birthday🎂! That’s right friends, tomorrow the Humane Society of Ventura County will celebrate 87 years of service to the people and animals of Ventura County. The nonprofit organization was established in 1932 by a group of dedicated animal lovers who saw a need to provide compassionate care to vulnerable animals throughout the area. After many years of struggling with small locations, very little money, and lots of needy pets, the Humane Society moved into its existing space in 1982 when its beloved benefactor, Sara Bayless, donated 4.4 acres of land in Ojai, California.
