Meet Okey and Sweet Pea! They are a wonderful bonded pair that would love a home with you! Okey is a sweet and timid male, tan and white Chihuahua. He is about 8 years old, and he has been at the HSVC since Sep 22, 2014. Sweet Pea is a darling female Chihuahua. She is about 9 years old and she has been at the HSVC since September 22, 2014.
Thank you to Roger and Sue Dickens for getting all those unruly weeds out of our agility yard and Sue Saraceno for constantly keeping the course functional (and the new teeter totter she donated)! Looks good out there! Now let's PLAY!
The shelter staff at HSVC is prepared for more then just caring for cats and dogs. This little piglet (Holly) was brought to the shelter at less then 24 hours old. She was barely hanging on to her life when kennel Attendant Christina Illman was contacted and brought her in.
Meet Chloe! Chloe is a female, brown tabby and white Domestic Shorthair. She is about 12 years old, and she has been here since Feb 04, 2015. Chloe was originally adopted from the HSVC 11/11/2003 (11 years ago!) and she was brought back when her owner had to move.

Say "hello" to our new friend Archie! Archie was transferred from Animal Services in Camarillo on January 27th. When Archie first got here he was very timid and scared. Our Assistant Shelter Director brought Archie up into her office during the days to help him get more comfortable here at the shelter and with staff. Turns out, this big guy warms up really quick! He is still not a big fan of the kennels but is happy and relaxed when he is outside. Archie walks nicely on a leash and loves to be around people!Archie was brought into Animal Services as a stray so we do not have any background information on him. Come meet this big love bug today!
