Senior Snoopy Looking for a Home!

Snoopy is a sweet, male, tricolor Beagle. He is about 10 years old and very active for a"senior" fella! Snoopy came in as a lost dog on February 27, 2015 and was never claimed. Snoopy can be quite the talker and our kennel staff has observed that he gets along well with the other dogs they have put him with.

Low Cost Vaccination Clinic

The current drought situation forces wild animals into our neighborhoods in search of sources of food and water. This may cause our pets to have increased interactions with wild animals, such as coyotes and raccoons. It is good time to make sure your pets are up to date on their vaccines to help protect them from the rabies virus.

Jean Grey is a grey domestic shorthaired kitten who came into the Shelter with several litter mates on September 25th, 2014. All of the kittens were named after various Xmen Super heroes and Jean Grey was perfect for this little kitten.

Local Boy Scout To Build New Dog Runs for HSVC

A MESSAGE FROM BOY SCOUT JACOB FAJARDO: Hello my name is Jacob Fajardo, from Boy Scout troop 504. I am working on my Eagle Scout project for the Humane Society of Ventura County in Ojai a private nonprofit organization who exists solely on donations. My project will be building two new dog runs and installing a running tunnel in the agility course for the Humane Society.

Lexie - Fuzz Ball of Love!

Lexie is a docile, female, sable Pomeranian. She is 3 years old, and she has been at the HSVC since Feb 23, 2015. Lexie is not your typical Pom! When she came in to the HSVC she was scared and would bark at everyone. After a lot of love from staff and volunteers, she is now quite polite and quiet.
