The Humane Society of Ventura County is a compassionate care shelter and non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and adoption of animals in need throughout Ventura County.
We at the Humane Society of Ventura County hope that everyone has had a great start to 2017! During this time of the year, many people make resolutions for improvements to their own lives or the lives of others. One of the most common resolutions people make is to adopt a healthier lifestyle to improve their physical and emotional health.
THANK YOU to the students of Mira Monte Elementary School who donated $264 dollars to the shelter! Recently, students in the 4th-6th grade classes held a craft fair and each student donated a percentage of the sales to a non-profit of their choice.
Handsome Rocky is quite the lover! This German Shepherd and Boxer mix is a little over a year old and as you can see in the picture, he is quite the ladies man!

This cute little face belongs to sweet Daisy! Daisy, a cream colored Australian Cattle Dog was brought in as a stray on December 14th after being found wandering loose on Thacher Road in Ojai. Sadly, this adorable little girl was never claimed.
