Help Us Find Pino a Furever Home!

By Humane Society of Ventura County

Are you looking for a funny, smart, and independent kitty to add to your family? Then Pino is the girl for you! Two-year-old Pino was brought to the shelter as a stray in the Summer of 2023 after she was found in a box with her five young kittens. She and her fur babies were immediately placed in a loving foster home and have been thriving in their care ever since. Sweet but shy, Pino may need a bit of time to feel secure in her environment. However, once she trusts you she loves to play with her favorite toys and will curl up on a big fluffy blanket in her favorite spot.

We were delighted to receive a check for $2661 from our friends at Ventura Marathon and Mile 26 Running Co. as one of their race beneficiaries. Both organizations have been longtime supporters of the shelter and our animals. These funds will help us continue providing essential services for animals in need. Thank you to all who donated! Mesa Union School Helps Local Animals

By Angie Sagliani

The Humane Society of Ventura County recently gave a shelter tour to local teens from Mesa Union School. They came to the shelter to present a check to HSVC and of course, to see the animals. “They completed a service project where they researched HSVC and held a lemonade stand to raise money to donate. Together they raised over $300,” said their teacher Mrs. Waggoner”. What a joy it was to see their faces light up when they got to meet Everest, one of our adoptable dogs, in the agility yard! We are incredibly grateful to these amazing teens. Thank you for your donation, inspiring work, and dedication to helping the animals in our community.
