$5 Friday - Help Neglected Animals in Need

You can make a difference, right now! In August, our Humane Officers received a call regarding concern for several animals on a property. Upon arrival, they discovered multiple animals in need of immediate medical care. Our Humane Officers seized three horses, two of which were severely emaciated, and one emaciated sheep from the property. The animals were transported to the shelter and have been under the care of our diligent staff and veterinarian to receive the medical care they desperately need.

The seizure of these animals is part of an active investigation, therefore we are unable to share more details from the case. It is also important to note that the photo above of this horse was taken nearly one month after being under the care of the shelter. We are happy to report they are in stable condition and are on a feeding schedule to return to a healthy weight.

Animals in this severe of condition require extensive vet care and resources. As a private nonprofit, we do not receive any funding from the government or any other animal welfare organization. We rely entirely on the generosity of our community to provide our vital services. This Five Dollar Friday, we are asking for your support to help us continue providing much-needed care for these case animals. Your donation will help provide medical care, shavings for bedding, food, and other supplies for animals in need. Click the button below to make a difference now. Thank you for your support!
