Our Second Remote Vaccine Clinic was a Success!

Thank you to all who came out to get free vaccines for their pets at our second-ever HSVC Cares remote vaccination clinic! Our staff and volunteers had a blast interacting with the public and their animals at Westpark Community Center in Ventura. A special shoutout goes to our friends at Petco Love for helping us provide free vaccines to so many animals in need!

Thanks to Petco Love, our shelter was able to administer free Distemper/Parvo vaccines to dogs and free upper respiratory vaccines to cats. We also offered $5 rabies vaccines and vouchers for free spay/neuter to anyone interested in helping us combat pet overpopulation!

Pets of all shapes and sizes showed up to take advantage of our free vaccines! Way to go responsible pet owners!

In addition to HSVC clinic staff, we were also lucky enough to have the assistance of several volunteer students from Ventura College's vet tech program.

After their animals received free vaccines, pet owners were also offered free pet food courtesy of our many free pet food programs. We were able to give out a combined total of approximately 3500 pounds of food from this event and last week's remote vaccine clinic at Ohana Pet Hospital! If you are in need of this service, please visit our website or contact Steve McCurry at [email protected].

Don't forget about our feline friends! Cats and kittens were high in attendance at our free vaccine clinic. They even got VIP treatment by getting to go inside our vaccination station tent to get their vaccines.

With the success of this event and last week's at Ohana Pet Hospital, we are hoping to do more remote vaccination clinics in the future. Stay tuned!
