Shoutout to our Community Cat Trappers!

The kids are back in school and the kitts are seemingly everywhere! Community cat populations are up about 7% over last year, and HSVC's lone trapper, Jayme, has been inundated with requests to trap cats and kittens across Ventura County. Thanks in large part to Jayme’s valiant efforts and steadfast dedication to felines, we've been smitten with over 100 kittens since our Foster Program launched six months ago.

HSVC and our fantastic Fosters are serving as many precious "pawkitt" panthers as we can this kitten season, but are still seeking attentive foster families for our tiny tigers in need of extra attention and care. We’re also fortunate to serve many purrfect adult cats too! We currently have several glorious gatos experiencing stress in their shelter environment.

If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please call the shelter at (805) 646-6505 or email our Foster Coordinator, Cheney, at [email protected]. Those interested can also learn more about our foster program by visiting our Foster Page and filling out an interest form. Once submitted, you will be contacted by our Foster Coordinator with the next steps.
