Volunteer Groups Make a Difference!

Thank you to the Circle K International Club from Ventura College for coming up to the shelter last week to go through training to become volunteers! Volunteers are required to attend training classes to learn how to safely socialize the cats and dogs and learn about the intricacies of dog and cat body language. The trainings help to make the experience more enjoyable for both our volunteers and our animals!

If you are part of a group and would like to become a volunteer we would love to hear from you! Groups of 5 or more people can schedule a private orientation that includes all you need for your group to get started on giving back to the community! If you are interested in learning more about group orientations to become a volunteer for the Humane Society of Ventura County, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator Amanda Volden at (805)646-6505 x110 or by email at [email protected].
