Special thanks to the Ventura Chamber for their fundraising efforts! Every year two of their groups have a fundraising drive for area nonprofits and this year the Humane Society of Ventura County and S.P.A.R.C. were the recipients.

Their Young Professional Group and Chamber Ambassadors participated in a challenge to see which could collect the most donations. Their efforts lasted three months and spanned many businesses in Ventura along with an adoption meet and greet event at the Harbor Cave Café who donated 10% of every meal. Between the two groups, they collected over 3000 items and $2600 dollars which was split between the HSVC and S.P.A.R.C. Even though the Chamber Ambassadors won their challenge, the real winners are the animals at the two shelters. “We are honored to be the recipients for their challenge, their donations will go a long way in helping the animals at both of our shelters,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach for the HSVC.
