Last week young Asher stopped by the Humane society of Ventura County to drop off a very generous donation. For his 5th birthday, Asher decided that he wanted to raise money for animals in need. Asher was able to raise $63.37 for the shelter and we are very grateful for his support!

Here at the Humane Society of Ventura County we believe you are never too young to get involved. Our ability to serve the community is directly linked to the support we receive from the community. As a private, non-profit organization we receive no direct financial assistance from city, county, state agencies or National Animal Welfare Organizations such as The Humane Society of the United States and the ASPCA. Fundraising events,grants, bequests, investments, supporters and your very important donations are our only sources of income. We truly appreciate your love, concern and support for our Shelter animals and the community outreach services the Humane Society provides.
