Congratulations to Lois and Greg on the newest member of their family! It's hard to believe Sparky was the same dog brought to us just a week before his adoption.

Sparky was brought to the shelter on July 14th in extremely poor condition. He was so matted that his collar was permanently stuck in his fur. Once Little Man was checked into the shelter, Assistant Kennel Manager Tina drove him directly to Puff N Fluff Pet Grooming in Meiners Oaks for a complete makeover. When Tina brought him back to the shelter that afternoon we barely recognized him!

Sparky's transition from a neglected dog to the newest member of a loving family happened in record time and on July 20th Sparky went home in the arms of Lois and Gary. While we count every adoption as a success story, Sparky is just a wonderful example of what we can accomplish for animals in need when we all work together!
