SUCCESS STORIES: BAILEY AND LIL FOREVER!

baileyandlil.jpg

We are pleased to let you know that Lil has found her new home with Bailey! Bailey is a true "horse person" and our entire staff is in agreement that she is the perfect person to adopt her!

Lil was one of three horses impounded on September 6, 2014 by our Humane Officers. She became available last month after she had put on weight and her health was looking good. We shared her story and this gorgeous horse got quite the response! Her photo was viewed by over 100,000 people and we were contacted by folks across the nation! Her striking markings and beautiful soft eyes seemed to make an impact on everyone who saw her picture.

The Humane Society of Ventura County has horses for adoption on a regular basis. Cases of abuse and neglect are common through out our county and horses are often impounded by our Humane Officers in the field where they  are brought back to the shelter for rehabilitation and then adoption. If you are interested in learning more about the horses we have available please contact the shelter at 805-646-6505.
