Shelter Staff to the Rescue! - Holly's Story

HOLLYSM.jpg

The shelter staff at HSVC is prepared for more then just caring for cats and dogs. This little piglet (Holly) was brought to the shelter at less then 24 hours old. She was barely hanging on to her life when kennel Attendant Christina Illman was contacted and brought her in.

Staff worked quickly to get Holly warm and on the bottle. The piglets mother had killed her four siblings and was attacking Holly when the owner saw what was happening and pulled her away. Holly was here during the day and at night being fostered by staff. By day three Holly was running around the tall grass, getting into trouble, like any little piglet can do!

We are happy to report that Holly became well enough to be returned to the original owners. Thank you HSVC staff for your love and hard work!
