Shelter Clean Up Day is a Great Success!

The Humane Society of Ventura County would like to give a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who came to the shelter on Sunday to help clean up our grounds. Many individuals spent this day giving back to their community by helping us get the shelter ready for next week's Birthday Bash & Open House.

We had nearly two dozen volunteers stop by and give much needed love and attention to the shelter. We have had a lot of action during the first part of 2018 and the shelter was in much need of some serious TLC. Volunteers cleaned and organized cages and crates, cleaned up the dog yards, weeded, and put together recently donated Kuranda Beds. Their hard work ensures the animals currently in our care and all the future animals that will find themselves at the shelter through no fault of their own will have clean and comfortable lodging until they can be placed into loving homes.

Thank you all for your dedication to animals in need. The shelter grounds look amazing! If you are interested in volunteering for The Humane Society of Ventura County, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator via email at volunteer@hsvc.org
