Thank You For Your Support - Santa Paws 2016

Thank you to everyone who attended this past Sunday's 30th annual Santa Paws event here in Ojai. We had nearly one hundred guests at this years event. Thank you all for your patience amidst a longer then usual wait-all for a great cause!

This year our Santa Paw's event was made even more special by a kind donation of photo equipment by Samy's Camera. We could not have done it without the generosity and expertise of Greg Cooper, Volunteer Photographer, who provided all the supplies and shot the photos, Claudia Figueiredo, who is a regular volunteer at the shelter photographing our animals for their profiles, and assistant James Hart, who made sure that every family who attended left with a wonderful keepsake!

We also want to give a very special thank you to to Chuck Bowman. Chuck stayed in character as Santa for close to 8 hours on Sunday, the whole time making the animals and children as comfortable as possible while being photographed. Chuck deserves a round of applause for all his hard work!

We were lucky to have so many talented vendors selling handmade gifts at our Craft Fair and Java Cat serving up drinks and goodies. This year's Ornament Keepsake booth was provided by the kind people at Firefly Ceramics with 100% of donations received from this booth to go directly to our fund to build new kennels.
We are so grateful to all of you who made this day special. Santa Paws is more than just getting a holiday photo, every penny raised will go to helping animals in need in Ventura County. As a private, non-profit 501c3, organization, we rely entirely on the support of the community to keep our doors open. Thank you all again and happy holidays from both your two legged and four legged friends at the Humane Society of Ventura County!
