We had the most incredible turn out on Saturday for our first Reading with Dogs event organized by the Girls Girl Club! We are so grateful to all the groups and individuals who came to the shelter today, many for the first time, to help socialize the dogs.

Folks of all ages came from all over the county to participate in this very special event. Not only the dogs, but the cats as well, enjoyed one on one time with our volunteers who came to the shelter to read from their favorite books to help socialize the animals. A big thank you to the Girls Girl Club and Humane Society volunteers Sheila and Barbara for making this event such a great success. Stay tuned, we will definitely be doing this again!
